UTAH RAIL SERVED REQUIREMENTS ON THE RISE

Over the last 12 months, we here at IPG Commercial, have seen a progressive increase in rail served distribution and manufacturing requirements in the greater Salt Lake City metro area.

There are currently 5 active rail served users over 100,000 SF looking for space in the market that we know of.

With gas prices on the rise, the majority of manufactured goods coming from overseas, and the addition of the Union Pacific Intermodal hub several years ago, rail is a very competitive source of transport, causing distributors and manufacturers alike to rethink the way they get goods from point a to point b

Goal Zero is an innovative company who has created portable solar power panels that collect energy from the sunlight and power packs that store the energy for when you need it. 

We were very fortunate to have helped Goal Zero move into their new space in Bluffdale, Utah. The space is nearly 4 times the size of the space they are moving out of. A huge congratulations go out to the company founders and executives for creating such a great product and making it a worldwide success!

A hearty congratulations goes out to our President, Michael Jeppesen for his recent award as a CoStar Power Broker of the Year for 2011. This award comes right on the heels of being a finalist for the CCIM Industrial Broker of the Year.

Each year, CoStar tallies the commercial real estate sales and lease transactions that closed during the previous year to determine the winners of the prestigious CoStar Power Broker Awards, presented to those who closed the highest transaction volume in commercial property sales and leases in their respective market.
